Job Summary:
Greenway Farms is hiring a Truck Driver to safely load, transport, and off-load goods in line with company standards and road regulations.
The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the vehicle, following safety protocols, and offering great customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Code 14 Driver’s License
Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
3+ years of truck driving experience
Skilled in loading, securing, and off-loading cargo
Knowledge of road safety regulations
Able to perform basic vehicle maintenance and checks
Comfortable using GPS and following delivery routes
Familiar with driver wellness and fatigue management
Experience in logistics or fleet operations is a plus
Skills & Personal Traits:
Attention to detail (especially for logs and safety checks)
Good communication and decision-making skills
Physically fit for manual loading/unloading
Time management and stress-handling abilities
Strong commitment to safety and PPE compliance
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Load Management:
Ensure cargo weight complies with legal limits
Inspect and secure cargo before trips
Perform pre-trip safety checks
2. Route Management:
Follow approved travel routes
Record route deviations or incidents
Always obey traffic laws and safety rules
3. Trip Monitoring:
Track fuel usage and manage refills
Stick to scheduled delivery times
Report violations or accidents
Complete trip logs and delivery documentation accurately
4. Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct daily/weekly truck inspections
Check tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors, and other components
Keep truck and trailer clean and report issues
5. Safety & Compliance:
Always wear the correct PPE
Prioritize personal health and safe work practices
Follow company wellness and chronic condition policies
