Description
The main purpose of this position is to deliver a food service at the serving area and provide a tea service in the tea pause areas, boardrooms and meeting rooms.
Key performance areas:
● Organise self to ensure that the work allocated is completed within a set time and defined standards.
● Perform routine and well-defined tasks under direct supervision, including with
dining rooms set-ups, refreshment preparations, serving of guests/customers, setting up for tea pause areas, boardrooms and meeting rooms, and clearing of a buffet area.
● Record, close the inventory.
● Apply basic rules of courtesy when in contact with other employees and visitors to the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), displaying a strong service orientation at all times.
● Engage with own team members in a manner that reflects a sound and effective working relationship.
Requirements:
● Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
● An NQF4 certificate in the handling of food and beverages would be an added advantage and one to two years’ experience in a hospitality environment, specifically in the area of waitering.
