ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The X3 Driver role is a permanent position in the Supply Chain function.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the delivery of stock to customers, following planned routes and schedules, completing vehicle and load checks, handling delivery documentation and maintaining customer service standards.

The role also requires compliance with safety, health, food safety, traffic and company procedures.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and control the delivery process from end to end.

  • Complete Pre-Trip Inspections before every trip.
  • Report non-compliant items identified during Pre-Trip Inspections to management.
  • Practise Green Band driving at all times.
  • Follow the Truck Lock Out Procedure during every loading sequence.
  • Comply with all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Keep vehicles clean and presentable.
  • Follow food safety policies, SOPs and PRPs.
  • Comply with PPE, jewellery and personal hygiene requirements.
  • Participate in training and competency testing.
  • Practise regular hand washing and sanitising.
  • Prevent cross-contamination of products.
  • Report food safety risks to the relevant personnel.
  • Report any illness or communicable disease before the start of a shift.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Enforce GMPs and follow food safety practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards for equipment, facilities and the work environment.
  • Remain aware of food defence and food fraud risks.
  • Support the organisation’s food safety culture.
  • Maintain product quality and safety standards.
  • Work with the internal food safety team towards the organisation’s food safety goals and continuous improvement.
  • Check, load and unload vehicles accurately.
  • Independently check loads to ensure correct quantities.
  • Record returns accurately.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Warehouse Supervisor and other team members.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and comprehensively.
  • Use relevant technological solutions and mobile phone-based technology as required.
  • Remain familiar with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures.
